*The need for these items is high.
Donations may be dropped of at The Well during the following times:
Monday: 8am - 5pm
Tuesday:7am - 2pm & 6pm - 8pm
Wednesday: 8:30am - 12:30pm
Thursday: 7am - 2pm & 6pm - 8pm
Friday: Closed
Saturday: 9am - 12pm
Sunday: Closed
Food Drive Success
We encourage groups to organize food drives to support The Well Outreach Food Pantry. Here are a few tips for a successful food drive.
1. Plan Ahead
- Select a leadership committee to plan your strategy and theme.
- Determine the length of your food drive.

2. Set a Goal
- Determine how many pounds and or how much money you want to collect.
-Ensure the group is aware of the set goal.
3. Arrange Food Collection Drop-Off with the Well Outreach.
- Call The Well Outreach and schedule a time to drop-off food (615-302-9355).
4. Get Everyone Involved
- Encourage employees to show their support by sending e-mails, voicemails or letters.
- Have your company match employee donations, i.e. $1 for each pound of food.
- Set up a day for group to tour The Well Outreach facility.
- Challenge someone to perform an outrageous activity if your goal is met.
5. Promote Your Food Drive
- Organize a kick-off event to build enthusiasm.
- Make food drive posters.
- Hand out The Well Outreach staples list of most needed food items.
- Announce weekly or daily totals to participating group.
6. Build Awareness and Visibility
- Invite participants to volunteer time to The Well Outreach.
- Consistently update group of drive.
- Centrally place collection bins and posters or fliers.
7. Make it Fun and Simple to Participate
- Provide grocery bags with staples list attached for all participants.
- Throw an event and charge a can food for admission.
- Hold a raffle for a gift card or time off.
8. Encourage Financial Contributions
- Set a separate financial goal.
9. Utilize Exciting Competitions and Creative Themes
- Have Macaroni Mondays, Tuna Tuesdays, or food group theme weeks to encourage specific donations.
-Provide prize for most food collected by an individual.
-Create certificate of achievements for participants.
10. Celebrate Your Success!
- Host a party rewarding the winners.
- Celebrate the completion of your food and fund drive
